At the heart of Presta Imagery is a family, a husband and wife team to be exact, and soon the Prestas will be welcoming a new member to our family, Little Baby P.
As the husband half of this family, I can only speak anecdotally about the difficulties of growing a human life inside of you. The pains, the discomforts, the exhaustion, the insecurities, and the daily sacrifices, to name a few. Despite those hardships, Shannon has taken it all on with grace and beauty, mostly because those hardships are not what has dominated our thoughts or actions. Instead, we have been driven much more by the excitement of meeting our little guy, the fear of whether we can provide him with a better life than our parents gave us, and the wonders as we reminisce about how we are really about to become our parents.
During this time, Shannon has been great. Now don’t get me wrong, we have certainly had our share of hormonal flare-ups, and managing those flare-ups was not always easy. I have also found my half of the bed to be dwindling as Shannon’s pillow fortress gets bigger and bigger. The rest of the time, I have simply sat and marveled at the wonders of life creation and the beauty of my wife, and her belly, both inside and out.
I always hear pregnant women take issue with the weight they have gained during pregnancy, and Shannon has been no different. Of course, a woman has to be more conscious than ever about what she puts in her body when she is pregnant. If she does that, as Shannon has done in spades, any pound gained has been nothing but more resources for our child to grow. Shannon has always been beautiful, and she is now more beautiful than she has ever been (ladies, please stop thinking that guys say this because they have to. I can tell you first-hand, it is the truth). Shannon’s going to be a momma, and my guess is that she’ll be the one that Little Baby P’s friends all wish they had as their own.
This is an exciting time! Soon, very soon, we will be starting the rest of our lives together. This post shows Shannon’s beauty, right here and right now.
We can’t wait to meet you buddy!
Beautifully written Anthony and as always, gorgeous photos!!
